Battery holder for batteries of size (length x width x height) 151 * 64.5 * 94 mm. Includes a tub and a bracket that fixes the battery with wing nuts. Incl. Screw.

The included M6 screw set in A2 stainless steel consists of the matching screws with different lengths, several washers and various nuts. The screw set makes it possible to conveniently place the battery and the bracket, consisting of tub and bracket, e.g. to attach to a floor plate.

Design for 3D printing by FDM with PETG layer thickness: 0.3 mm

The 3D printing process: FDM

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is the most widely used form of 3D printing at the consumer level. FDM works with a range of standard thermoplastics, such as ABS, PLA, and their various blends. The technique is well-suited for basic proof-of-concept models, as well as quick and low-cost prototyping of simple parts, such as parts that might typically be machined.

The material: PETG

PETG stands for polyethylene terephthalate modified with glycol. PETG filament is superior to other filaments in many properties. It combines the positive properties of PLA and ABS. PETG is highly resilient, has strong mechanical properties, is flame retardant, resistant to many chemicals and easy to print.

Relatively high layer thickness: 0.3 mm

Components can be designed in such a way that no particularly high vertical accuracy is required for the production, which allows a relatively high layer thickness of 0.3 mm. This reduces the machine time and thus the production overheads. Faster production speeds up mass production (more pieces per time). In addition, the stability is higher with fewer, thicker layers than with a large number of thin layers.

The design: simple and free of support-material

Our design focuses on economy and ecology by optimising FDM print parts to be free of support-material. Advantages of a design optimised for the FDM printing process are:

• Less material and less weight by avoiding support structures through intelligent design and testing
• Reduction of printing time consumption
• Reduction of post-processing time needed
• Reduction of cost
