R1 Infrared Module II

The R1 Infrared Module II expands the R1 sensor module, which includes eight ultrasonic sensors, by adding two infrared sensors.
The R1 infrared module includes: 2x infrared sensors holders, 4x M3x10mm screws, 4x M3 hex nuts, 2x infrared sensors GP2Y0A41SK0F and two 3-pin JST-JST cables with 30cm length.
The R1 infrared sensor holder II has an obtuse angle of 135 degrees and is hanging attached to the R1 sensor plate. Therefore the infrared sensors can be attached in a 45 degree angle directed to the ground. This allows a complementary detection of sensor data especially obstacles, steps and landings in front of the robot. The position of the sensor with the sensor bracket is fixed with two screws on the sensor plate.
The infrared sensors connect with the supplied JST-JST cables to the sensor module with its 8 ultrasonic sensors and further sensors. The sensors of the sensor board together with the 2 pieces of additional infrared sensors from the R1 infrared module fully populate the sensor board.
