ZigBee Wireless Module ZBS-100 for 1:1 serial communication

ZBS-100 is based on the technology of ZigBee. It is used for 1:1 serial communication for example in wireless sensor networks. The design for easy-use should allow operation by beginners. The module is designed as DIP (Dual In-Line Package) type and as an UART module. By using this module you can directly couple it with the RXD or TXD port without any special settings.

The operation distance is 30m to 100m. The module has an chip attenna (ANT1, light violett part). Communication speed is set to 9600 bauds per second, NO parity, 2stop bit, RF Channel 0B. You can change the communication speed, RF Channel 0B ~ 1A.

ZigBee Ver 1.2 is applicable. No addition driver is needed to operate the system.

How to use - The serial communication between CPUs

Connect the RXD or TXD Port with the RXD or TXD of the Zigbee module.

The ZBS-100 module has 10 pins and one integrated chip antenna (ANT1, light violett part).

Power supply

When the power is applied to module, you should take notice of input voltage. This module is designed to use 5V or 3.3V. The default voltage is 5V, and the voltage can be changed if you want to use 3.3V. A resistor of 0 Ohm is attached at the red-marked part, and it operates at 5V (3.2V~6V). If you want to operate it at 3V (2.8V~3.3V), move it to the 3V side.
